Painting is like therapy for me, a way for me to quiet my mind, focus, and experience a state of flow unmatched by any other activity I know.
These frond drawings were made during an afternoon with my friend Katie Daly, and painted in 3 frantic days two months later in preparation for a showing I had committed to.
My artist statement for the show:

My artist statement for the show:
I have difficulty with depth perception. My drawings provide space for me to focus on the depth and particularities of an object, and an opportunity for me to re-envision that object's complexities.
